Laboratory for energy and process engineering

The Laboratory's activities are aimed at:  

  • research, development, design and helping in introduction in industrial production of devices and plants from the fields of process engineering, industrial hydraulics and pneumatics, thermotechnique and energetics, hydraulic and hydromechanic power transmissions,
  • giving expert opinions, attests and certificates for devices and systems of process engineering, industrial hydraulics and pneumatics, thermotechnique and energetics, hydraulic and hydro-mechanic power transmissions from the aspect of minimizing the consumption of heat, electric and other types of energy in them, along with revision of conducted projects, 
  • development of a software for calculation, databases, expert systems, knowledge bases and virtual prototypes for the fields of process engineering, industrial hydraulics and pneumatics, thermotechnique and energetics, hydraulic and hydro-mechanic power transmissions, 
  • development of specialist studies and permanent education. 

A great number of plants, machines and devices from the fields of process engineering, industrial hydraulics and pneumatics, thermotechnique and energetics, hydraulic and hydro-mechanic power transmissions are developed and are still under development at the Laboratory, using modern global achievements and latest techniques and technologies.

In addition to modern computer classroom and measuring equipment as a part of several experimental test beds for conduction of scientific-research and teaching, the Laboratory has the following equipment that is primarily used "on site" and for giving services to different industrial subjects: 

  • ultrasonic liquid flow meter,
  • three-phase power analyzer,
  • ultrasonic thickness gauge,
  • thermal vision IC camera,
  • IC thermometers,
  • digital noise level meters,
  • combined instrument for measurement of humidity, temperature and air flow speed,
  • hot-wire anemometers for measuring of flow and speed,
  • different types of manometers,
  • contact - photo tachometer(stroboscope),
  • luminous cone intensity meter.
