CloudiFacturing
CloudiFacturing: Cloudification of Production Engineering for Predictive Digital Manufacturing.Horizon2020.Optimization of the Production Process of Metal Structures Using OSICE. Grant agreement by the EC no. 768892. Subcontractor of Fraunhofer, Germany, 2019.
Within the European CloudiFacturing project (https://www.cloudifacturing.eu), researchers from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac, participate in the implementation of experiment No. 13: Optimization of the Production Process of Metal Structures Using OSICE, which involves the development of a software solution for optimization production in the metal industry.
Within the CloudiFacturing project, researchers from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Kragujevac in cooperation with researchers from the Center for Computer Modeling and Optimization (CERAMO), Faculty of Science, University of Kragujevac and experts from the Fraunhofer Institute (https://www.fraunhofer.de) from Germany, work to develop a platform that will allow SMEs to use the huge budgetary power of the Cloud to solve complex optimization problems, regardless of their financial capabilities and the level of knowledge and technology they have at their disposal. The developed platform will be experimentally implemented in the German company MV Engineering (http://www.mv-engineering.com), which will enable this manufacturer of rail vehicles to optimize pallets for transporting parts of wagons. Optimization algorithms will take into account not only the self-resistance of the pallet construction, but also certain elements of the technological process, such as the costs of cutting, welding, assembly and transport.
A comprehensive software solution for the optimization of transport pallets will include numerical calculations of different variants of pallet constructions, for which TAK software will be used, which is being developed in the Laboratory for Engineering Software of the Faculty of Engineering in Kragujevac. The Kragujevac R&D company Vodéna will be in charge of the development of the user application for defining the design and production parameters, as well as the visualization of the obtained optimal solutions. With logistics and domain knowledge in the field of production of parts for rail vehicles, the entire project will be supported by experts from the MIND group (http://mind.rs), also from Kragujevac.
